warmeo PLANO
The warmeo PLANO heating system is ideal for floating floors like parquet, laminate and plastic.
The individual elements (79 x 59 cm) are made from 0.37 mm thin heating foil with a heat output of approx. 40 Watt. The actual graphite heating layer is embedded in high-strength PETP films. This electrically insulates the heating area, and protects it from mechanical influences and moisture. Around 96 % of the electricity used is converted to heat. The emitted heat is monitored by a floor sensor and limited to 29 °C. It spreads evenly throughout the entire heating area. This is recognised as being the most effective form of direct heating.

LAYING IN FOUR EASY STEPS:
1
Planning
Lay an 80 x 60 cm grid above the space (the dimensions of a heating mat). Align the longer sides parallel to the room’s long side. Centre the grid.
Place the control unit close to a power socket. Don’t plug in yet!
You have thus calculated the space for the heating area in the middle of the room, and the heating mats’ orientation towards the control unit.

Laying
Lay the heating mats with the plug side pointing towards the control unit, and make sure the side with the impact sound insulation is face down.
Pad the vacant spaces on the side of the room with the impact sound insulation mats (blind mats).
Connect the heating mats together with the plugs provided (transfer pins), and prevent the plug connection and heating mats from slipping using the supplied adhesive pads.

Connecting
Connect two rows of four heating mats to heating circuits each time, and hook both heating circuits’ connector cables to the control unit as per the instructions.
Correctly position the floor sensor, and connect it to the control unit.
Finally, affix the thermostat to a suitable part of the wall, and connect it to the control unit.

Laying the flooring
Lay your floor on top of the prepared area.
And that’s it!
Connect the control unit to the power supply. You can now conveniently set your desired temperature using the thermostat, and start enjoying the constant, even warmth provided by your new heating system.
The control unit takes care of this with safe, low power levels, making it efficient and inexpensive.

FAQ – warmeo:

Can I use warmeo to heat an old building which has poor or average insulation?
warmeo may be used to fully heat an old building when the minimum wattage per square metre of space with installed capacity is 40. During a heating period from mid-September to mid-May, the system has a useful power output of between approx. 8% and 50% of the installed capacity, depending on heat-up phase and external temperature.

How long does the room take to warm up?
With an 8-mm-thick laminate as flooring, the laminate’s surface temperature increases by 1°C within approx. 5 min. After around 20 min, the entire laminate surface is over 5°C. Heating up a room depends on the initial temperature, meaning no set time can be specified.

What are the installation costs per sq m?
The installation costs depend on the installed and required power output, which is in turn dependent on room size and building fabric.
As a rough guide, the costs are approx. EUR 100-120 per sq m for warmeo plano (floating), and approx. EUR 120-140 per sq m for warmeo flexo (glued).

What are the heating costs?
These can only be specified on an individual case basis, as every person has different heating habits, every building has individual requirements (ground floor, 1st floor, old building, number of external walls), and of course the electricity price is highly variable.
At some of our customer properties which are old buildings, the costs are around EUR 0.78-0.8 per sq m per month, while for others they are EUR 1.3 per sq m per month.
The following can be seen as a very rough, non-binding calculation:
6 months of heating at 8 hours/day, daytime temperature (setback temperature during night-time hours) equals 1440 hours of full heating.
1440 hours x 20 Watts / m² (= 50% of the installed capacity) equals 28.8 KWH per sq m.
With a floor space of 100% for a living room spanning 100 sq m, and an electricity price of EUR 0.28/KWH, the heating costs equal approx. EUR 800/year.

What are the costs for maintaining warmeo heating systems?
The costs for maintaining warmeo heating systems are virtually zero! There are no servicing costs, no wear parts, no additional costs (except the batteries for the thermostats).
This saves around EUR 150/year compared to fossil heating sources (chimney sweep, servicing costs for hot-water heater,…)
There are similarly no wear parts, as there is no thermal or mechanical stress. The low voltage fuse (approx. EUR 0.15) is perhaps the only thing which may need to be replaced.

What is meant by electromagnetic vulnerability (EMV), commonly known as electrosmog?
According to test reports and a certificate from the Institute of High Frequency Technology in Kaiserslautern, active use of an entire warmeo heating system produces 10 times less radiation than an unused 220 V power point!

How dangerous is warmeo?
Due to the low voltage of 24 V, which is also approved for children’s toys, there is no risk of physical injury or health problems, even when direct contact is made.

What is heat radiation?
Warmeo produces heat radiation, which is comparable to the sun’s heat rays.
The radiation spectrum has absolutely no negative impact on the human body or health.
Heat rays penetrate no more than 0.003 mm into the surface, and are identical to the heat emitted from any other heat source operating in low temperatures, such as the radiated heat after burning wood or similar in a masonry heater.

Au cas où la société a expressément accepté des modalités contractuelles différentes des présentes, ces dernières ont vocation à prévaloir. Seule une acceptation écrite permet d’écarter les présentes conditions générales, qui ont, pour le surplus, vocation à s’appliquer à toute relation contractuelle entre . et ses clients et se substituent de facto aux conditions générales éventuelles du client.

3. Dès confirmation par la société . de la commande effectuée par le client, ce dernier est obligé à prendre réception des produits commandés. Le client ne pourra, en aucun cas, invoquer un éventuel changement des circonstances (de temps, lieu ou autre) afin de refuser de prendre réception de la commande. En aucun cas, un éventuel retard dans la livraison ne pourra valoir comme justification de refus de prendre réception de la commande.
Le client s’engage par ailleurs de mettre en œuvre toutes les démarches nécessaires afin que la réception de la commande se fasse sans retard. Tout retard éventuel dans la prise de réception de la commande dû aux défauts de précautions de la part du client pourra donner lieu à des dommages-intérêts au bénéfice de .
Le client qui, sans raison valable, refuse de prendre réception des produits ne sera pas moins tenu de procéder au paiement du prix de vente. Par ailleurs, il sera obligé d’indemniser la société pour tous les frais et autres coûts que son refus aurait engendré à charge de la société .. Ces frais et coûts seront chiffrés par la société . et communiqués au client dans le délai d’un mois.
4. Le client est obligé de procéder au paiement des factures émises par . dans les délais indiqués sur ces dernières.
La loi du 18 avril 2004 relative aux délais de paiement et aux intérêts de retard, portant transposition de la directive 2000/35/CE, est applicable de plein droit : les créances de la société produisent des intérêts exigibles de plein droit le jour suivant la date de paiement fixée sur les factures. A défaut de paiement dans les délais impartis, . est en droit de réclamer des intérêts de retard au taux dont les modalités de fixation résultent de la loi du 18 avril 2004 et ceci jusqu’à complet paiement du prix de vente.
5. La société conserve la propriété des marchandises vendues jusqu’au paiement effectif de l’intégralité du prix de vente. Le défaut de paiement peut entraîner la restitution des marchandises aux risques et périls de l’acheteur. Ces dispositions ne font pas obstacle au transfert à l’acheteur des risques de perte et de détérioration des marchandises vendues dès leur livraison. L’acheteur supportera tous les frais légaux et judiciaires consécutifs à une action contentieuse.
6. Dès leur livraison, les produits doivent être inspectés par le client afin d’en vérifier la quantité, la qualité et la conformité.
Au cas où le client estime que les produits livrés par la société . ne correspondent pas à ceux commandés au niveau de la qualité ou de la quantité, il sera tenu d’en faire part, par écrit, à la société dans les 5 jours de la pris de réception des produits. En cas d’absence d’inspection ou en cas d’absence de réserve écrite dans le délai de 5 jours à compter de la livraison des produits, ceux-ci seront considérés comme ayant été acceptés par le client. n’acceptera plus aucune réclamation concernant des défauts, vices ou non conformités, qui auraient pu être constatés au cours d’une inspection si elle avait eu lieu.
La société doit, en tout état de cause, être avertie dans un délai lui permettant de se retourner contre le transporteur conformément à la Convention CMR.
En cas de réclamation écrite de la part du client dans le délai de 5 jours, la société fera alors, sur base des informations fournies par le client, les vérifications nécessaires.
Au cas où les parties sont en désaccord sur une éventuelle divergence de quantité, de qualité ou de conformité des produits livrés par rapport à ceux commandés, les parties sont obligés de procéder par voie d’expertise. En cas d’accord, cet expert sera nommé d’un commun accord des parties. En cas de désaccord sur l’expert à nommer, les parties nommeront chacun de leur côté un expert, et ces derniers procèdent alors à la nomination d’un troisième expert pour que le collège d’experts ainsi composé puisse procéder aux vérifications nécessaires.
Les experts ainsi nommés procéderont aux vérifications de la réalité des réclamations formulées par client et présenteront leurs conclusions dans un rapport écrit et détaillé. Les parties s’obligent de trouver une solution à leur litige sur base du prédit rapport.
Le présent article n’a pas vocation à s’appliquer en cas d’absence de paiement de la part du client sans raison ni justification valable.
7. La société . n’est pas responsable, et ne peut pas être tenue pour responsable, pour tout retard éventuel dans les livraisons dû à des événements de force majeur. Est considéré comme événement de force majeure tout événement qui échappe à la volonté et à l’influence de .
Par ailleurs, l’absence de livraison due un tel événement de force majeure ne peut pas donner lieu à des dommages-intérêts à charge de .
La société . s’oblige à rapporter les éléments de nature à prouver l’existence d’un tel événement de force majeur ainsi que de mettre en œuvre toutes les démarches raisonnables afin d’y remédier et de limiter les conséquences dommageables.
La société ., en cas survenance d’un événement de force majeure, en informera le client par écrit et ceci dans un délai de 48 heures.
Si l’exécution du contrat s’avérait définitivement impossible,. aura la faculté de le résilier et ceci sans dommages-intérêts à sa charge.
Seront notamment mais pas exclusivement considérées comme cas de force majeur la faillite ou l’insolvabilité d’un fournisseur de la société ., ainsi que les événements de nature empêchant ou rendant impossible la livraison des produits commandés par le client.
Tout événement de force majeure de nature à empêcher ou retarder le transport des produits exclut, par ailleurs, l’octroi de dommages-intérêts à charge de . et au profit du client.
8. La société est formellement dégagée de toute responsabilité quant aux risques des produits dès que ces derniers ont été acheminés à la personne désignée par le client comme devant prendre réception des produits. Aucune responsabilité n’incombe à la société si les produits devraient, pour quelque cause que ce soit, être endommagés ou périr suite à la réception par le client. Un tel cas ne pourra donner lieu ni à une réduction de prix, ni au paiement de dommages-intérêts à charge de la société .. La société . décline toute responsabilité en cas de perte, vol ou avarie des produits à partir du leur réception par le client.
9. Le client a l’obligation de fournir à , suffisamment à l’avance pour lui permettre d’effectuer l’ensemble des démarches nécessaires à l’expédition des produits, toutes les informations nécessaires et notamment les certificats d’importation, les documents requis pour l’obtention des permis officiels et tout autre document.
Au cas où il s’avérait que l’acheminement des produits au lieu de destination engendrerait des taxes (douanières ou autres) supplémentaires dont le client a omis d’informer la société ., ces frais seront à charge du client. Par ailleurs, et si le client omet d’informer la société . sur les documents nécessaires afin d’éviter toute taxation éventuelle aux douanes, ces taxes incombent au client.
En aucun cas, et indépendamment des modalités de vente convenues (C&F, DDU…), le client ne pourra demander le remboursement des frais occasionnés le défaut d’information de sa part.
D’une manière générale, le client s’engage à informer la société , au moment de la commande, de tous les documents nécessaires afin de garantir l’acheminement des produits.
11. La relation entre et ses clients est régie par le droit luxembourgeois.
En vertu de l’article 23 du règlement européenne 44/2001 du 22 décembre 2000, Les Tribunaux luxembourgeois sont d’ailleurs seuls compétents pour connaître de tout litige entre . et ses clients que ce soit en relation avec l’exécution (respectivement l’inexécution) de leurs obligation respectives, ou en relation avec l’interprétation ou l’application des présentes conditions générales.
12. Si l’une des dispositions des présentes conditions générales de vente et de livraison s’avérait nulle, la validité des autres dispositions n’en serait pas affectée.
